Zinnias with brown stuff on them.?

I have an issue with my Zinnias, a grayish brown discoloration. It seems more brown than what I have seen mold described as. It is on the leaves starting at the tips and working its way in. One plant is really bad but it seems to be spreading.

Zinnias with brown stuff on them.?
It could be a fungus or it really seems to be root related. The browning beginning at the tips then moving toward the stem usually indicate a water problem. It could be to much or too little water. If you have fertilized them recently (past 3-4 weeks) it could be a sign of too much fertilizer. We usually call it burning the plants.
Reply:It sounds like Japanese Beetle damage.

Dust them with Sevin dust available at any garden center.

It is safe and effective.
