Chill, Mellow Yellow. The 60's are over.
Reply:I like Linus for a boy and Saphron (or Saffron) or Cherry for a girl... also, what about Matilda for a girl?
Reply:I understand being different - but your child is going to get his/her feelings hurt alot if you go with these names. Florence???? I have an Aunt named Florence (she is in her 60's) I never remember her ever being nice or having teeth!!

I do like the name Indigo - for a girl

Good luck with those names - I'd start again from scratch - sorry
Reply:are you serious? i see that you want to be different, but those are a going a little too far.
Reply:I'm not too sure on the name zen for a boy I like the names:

Boy:

Sam

Vaughn

Dewey

Girl:

Florence

Dharma

Safron - maybe

How about Journey
Reply:Xavier for a boy, Clarissa for a girl!
Reply:I think Zen sounds more for a boy......The only girl name that I would even consider is Zinnia.......How about for a boy Zain.........for a girl Zennica
Reply:Zen is a state of mind. I think a better name for him would be Xavier or Vaughn. Those are manly names. Also, why would you want to know your kid an action such as laughter? She'd get teased in school for sure! Athen is a prety name though.
Reply:I love Athena for a girl. It's one of my favorite names and I like Sam and Xavier for a boy.
Reply:I like Sam and Xavier and Zinnia and Athena.
Reply:Zen is horrible. His nickname would be "laughing all the way"

Personally most of your names would be very hurtful to a kid in school. Why be cruel? Tar??? Darth??? Linus??? Dewey??

I am beginning to think you are just having fun on here and are not serious

"Oh look, Laughter is laughing"

And ya better hope any girl you name after a mythological god is good looking. Lord help us if you name a girl Aphrodite and she's ugly as sin.
Reply:Zen is a very unique boys name (I do happen to like it)..the only person I know name Zen is actor Cory Feldman's son is named Zen Scott...I like the name Saffron for a girl....be careful the name you pick cause the poor kid is going to have to live with it for the rest of his/hers life (Do you what the kid made fun of or beat up every day on the playground cause kids can be cruel). Why not pick something that's traditional, yet unique like Mallory or Laine?
Reply:Zen sounds too feminine for me. Don't like Xavier, but how about Xander (as in Alexander). Could also work for a girl - be pronounced similar to Sandra, or even shorter - Xan (Zan).

I like Athena - reminds me of Greek mythology. Dharma is ok but only b/c I liked the character from Dharma and Greg.
Reply:I think Zen is a cute name for either a boy or a girl. Really creative!

Out of your name choices, I like Indigo and Xavier for a boy and Seven and Safron for a girl.

Kids get teased regardless of their names. In reality children can be very cruel to each other about anything. I think either of those names are original and will not get them teased because of it! Good luck :)
Reply:No- Zen is out for me......I don't like it as a name........

I like SAM for a boy and

for girl....saffron and Dharma
Reply:i LOVE the names zen and dharma for a boy and girl.

i hadn't even thought of those, and i've come up with near everything else humanly possible it seems!!!

genius!

most of the names are a bit off the wall, but i think that's what i like about them. they're unusual, and unique, without sounding forced or made up.

I think i've just discovered a few names to add to my list!
Reply:From your list I like Xavier and Sam for a boy. Zen is a little strange.
Reply:Zen.....very cool name!!! I like!!
Reply:Boys

Xavier

Sam

All the other names suck.

Girls

Athena

Cherry sounds like a stripper's name. (srry)

Dharma is from a TV show

All the other names suck.

and srry but Zen is a little too feminine for me.
Reply:If you use it you should spell it Xen. I know a Xen and he is a very strong man for a very strong name.
Reply:I would thank that Zen would be too feminine. I embarrassed a guy during roll call at school because I thought his name was a girl's name. I called him a she. I am really sorry I did that too.

I would not go with Indigo, again too feminine, or names that are hard to pronounce because he is going to school where teachers not familiar with those name can and will mispronounce them. Also think about the other kids. Is there a way that the child could be made fun of by the name? Kids can be cruel.

A girl called Lively or Seven could be in for a lot of ridicule. those are pretty names but again kids are cruel. Laughter could be okay, but what if the girl is quite or shy?

You have a lot of beautiful names. Just be careful.
Reply:go with zen
